Juan Ramon Alvarado's lore across the coffee industry grows with each passing year. From winning the Costa Rica Cup of Excellence, to having two of his farms place within the top 15 coffees, any admiration given to him is deserved two fold.
Alvarado's micro mill Brumas del Zurquí was built shortly after he finished as a distinguished graduate from EARTH University to help his family take hold of their own fortune after coffee prices hit a record low.
13 years later he is producing coffee that surpasses our wildest dreams in regards to quality, consistency and dynamic traits. This stunning lot of Gesha from Finca Zamora has been dry-processed using Alvarado's astute attention to detail and extremely technical specifications, and is the epitome of astounding.
