Finca San Sebastián is located just through the municipality of San Miguel Dueñas in the Antiguan Valley of Guatemala. The farm has immense hectares of gorgeous Bourbon, Pacamara and Caturra varieties of coffee as well as Macadamia trees, both of which are in full production for the farm. The farm was founded in 1890 by Salvador Falla Santos. In the 120 years since, the farm has stayed in the family and been passed down through the generations. Currently, Estuardo Falla Castillo is the caregiver and in charge of the farm. His attention towards creating a healthy infrastructure and work environment for the locals who live in San Miguel Dueñas has been an important step in creating the beautifully landscaped masterpiece that is San Sebastián. This lot is called Aliso, which refers to the type of tree that inhabits the grounds just above the highest portions of the farm. The Aliso tree is of the Alder variety which produce beautiful cascading flowers. This part of the coffee farm is planted with solely Bourbon trees and starts at 1800 meters and grows to 2000 meters. During a ride through of the Aliso portion of the farm, the air felt twenty degrees cooler than at the base of the farm in the middle of the day. There was more condensation on the leaves and all of the trees looked considerably fuller and healthier. The attention to detail and care that is put into San Sebastián is evident on the grounds and in the cup. A large portion of the land that San Sebastián sits on is protected forest that cascades up the slopes of the Acatengano Volcano.
